Four people have been arrested in Lautoka following two separate drug raids conducted by the Joint Task Force (JTF) in the Western Division.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACPO) Kasiano Vusonilawe said the raids were carried out yesterday in Tavakubu and along Vio Road.
In Tavakubu, police arrested an 18-year-old student and a 24-year-old man after they were allegedly found in possession of white substances believed to be methamphetamine. The substances have been seized and sent for analysis.

In a separate raid at Vio Road, a 38-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were taken into custody after officers allegedly found several plastic packets containing white substances suspected to be illicit drugs.
Police also seized cash, including local and foreign currencies, believed to be proceeds of crime.
ACP Vusonilawe said the successful operations were the result of intelligence gathering and information shared by members of the public.
