Police have seized more than 7000 plants believed to be marijuana during a raid in the Northern Division.

The Operation Sasamaki team carried out the raid in the Qaranibali farming area in Vusasivo, Natewa, on the morning of March 25, 2026.

Police said the use of a drone led to the discovery of the farm, where more than 7000 plants, some over four metres tall, were found.

The seized plants will be analysed.

Meanwhile, officers from the Criminal Investigations Department and Internal Affairs Unit are expected to travel to Kadavu to investigate an allegation of damaging property.

Police said they remain committed to a thorough investigation into claims of alleged abuse of authority.
